While our products are sold in markets around the world, the roots of Shields Bag and Printing Company are in Yakima, Washington, where we have operated as a family-owned business for over 75 years.
In 1935, in the midst of the Depression, Frank Shields took a chance on a dream, opening a small print shop in Yakima. Working with his sons, he built a successful commercial printing business before branching into flexible packaging in the mid-1950s. From small-town print shop to an experienced leader in the flexible packaging industry, we have grown while remaining a family business committed to the principles and work ethics of our founder.
